Larry (guitar/clawhammer banjo/vocals) and Jane (guitar/mandolin/vocals) continue to be a popular act at coffee houses throughout the Shuswap. In November 2014, they were well received as the feature act at Celista’s Coffee House. Larry & Jane have several concert appearances under their belt. In September 2012, they co-hosted “Ballads & Bards”, an evening of acoustic music and cowboy poetry, along with Duane Stewart and Doris Daley. In October 2013, together with Blu & Kelly Hopkins, they co-hosted a very successful evening concert, “Harvest Moon”. In April, 2014, Larry & Jane opened for the Bix Mix Boys at the Calgary Foothills Bluegrass Society.
Larry & Jane released their first CD “Pathways” in 2013. The thirteen songs on the CD are a collection of covers from some of their favourite artists along with a couple of original songs that Jane has written.
Currently, the duo are working on new originals along with new covers as they prepare for their next release.
Larry & Jane are drawn to old-time, traditional, gospel, bluegrass, folk and roots genres; songs that tell a good tale. Their sets feature music representative of their varied interests.
2015 will be filled with coffeehouses, house concerts …locally, as well as points N, S, E, and W… fairs and festivals!
